Yes, when you complete the subscription process, you will receive a user name and
a password. You are the only one licensed to use this password.
- What if I forget my password?
We have instructions for what to do if you forget your user name or your password.
Details about how to do this will be included as part of the
subscription process.
- Why should I get an Individual (Non-Member) subscription?
- Individual (Non-Member) Subscribers have access to:

- How can I tell if my institution has subscribed? How do I
get my institution to subscribe?
If your institution has an online subscription to the journal, you should be able to view the full text of the current issue of the journal. You can tell if your librarian has activated the electronic version, if you see a button at the top of the page confirming you're signed in as part of an institution. If you would like to have an institutional subscription, or to request they activate the online version, please contact your local librarian.
- Will I still be able to get the paper version? And for how long?
Yes, individuals and institutions will continue to be able to receive the paper version
for the foreseeable future.
- Who is eligible for an Individual (Non-Member) and a Member Subscription?
Individual (Non-Member) subscriptions are available to individuals, providing them
with a paper and electronic version of the journal. ASCO Members
are eligible for Member Subscriptions to Journal of Oncology Practice, providing them with a paper
and electronic version of the journal. Members and Non-Members may also have
access to JOP Online through an
Institutional Subscription. Institutional
Subscriptions are somewhat more limited than Member Subscriptions.
The special member services are not available to non-member
subscribers, and full-text access from off of the institution's network
(e.g. home access) is not available. ASCO Members are the only individuals who
can receive an electronic only subscription to JOP Online.
- How can I access JOP Online if I am not a member of ASCO and I
don't have access through an institutional subscription?
You may wish to apply for ASCO membership
or you may wish to purchase an Individual (Non-Member) print subscription which
provides access to the electronic version.
Without a subscription you have access to
Tables of contents, abstracts, and full text searching (without full text viewing)
at no cost and without having to register.
- How do I become a member of ASCO?
Information about ASCO Membership and application forms
are available from ASCO.
